Bob has over 25 years of experience in the management of not for profit healthcare institutions, having serves as President and CEO of The New Children's Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and The Windber Hospital and Wheeling Clinic in Windber, Pennsylvania. Managing in both large and small organizations, Bob realizes that strong leadership and the application of sound business practices are key to successful turnaround strategies. Understanding where your company fits in the competitive environment of today allows you to plan for tomorrow with realistic goals and expectations.
Most of Bob's leadership was spent in troubled organizations that had lost market share due to outside forces. All of these organizations had some similar issues that dealt with the lack of a prudent and realistic business plan, weak leadership and lack of organization. Frequently the strengths of any company are often overlooked because of outside pressures. The greater the pressures the more blurred the company's vision becomes. Knowing where to go depends upon where you are and getting there depends upon leadership.
Prior to joining Strategic Partners, Bob transitioned into the proprietary arena where he brought his management expertise and leadership to help a service company increase market share and operate profitably.
Bob has a Masters of Healthcare Administration from Duke University, a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Finance from Loyola College.
